Once you’ve agreed the go ahead for your loft conversion or loft extension, we’re ready to move to the next stage of the process.
Taking into account any personal ideas and requests that you may have, combined with the professionalism and expertise of our dedicated architects, we’ll now spend time preparing your plans for your approval.
Our team of architects will visit your property at a time that suits you. Typically we’ll give you a choice of slots during the working week for you to choose from. During the visit our architects will need to take measurements and get an understanding of your building’s layout. Any surveyors or structural engineers required will also be in attendance, but we will inform you of this in advance.
If you could make it as easy as possible for our team to access your loft space and to move around, we would be very grateful.
If required we will begin the process of applying for planning permission at this stage, however most projects will not require this. Our loft conversion planning permission guide will give you more information on what sorts of loft conversions do.
Drawings & Design
Our architects, working in conjunction with any other necessary parties, will then begin the process of drawing up blueprints for your loft conversion. This will encompass all structural changes as well as plumbing and electrical systems and final furnishings if applicable to the project.
Pulling together your drawings can take up to two weeks. In the unlikely event that it will take longer, we will be sure to inform you of any delay well in advance. If you need to contact us at any point during this process, please call us directly so as to avoid any delay in getting back to you during exceptionally busy periods.
