With a new addition in the family, our client was looking to create a spacious room for their teenage daughter, whilst also keeping one eye on future resale value.
As such, we approached this project with both things in mind too.
In this part of London many landlords will rent out their property per room, so we wanted to ensure that any future lettings of this home could be done with the idea to rent this room separately too. And of course, for as high a rent as possible.
In order to do this we made sure that we were going for as much space as we could. This was achieved by creating two adjoining dormer loft conversions and pushing as far back into the loft space as the structure would permit.
Additionally, we created massive bathroom which wasn’t directly attached to the bedroom. This means that whoever occupies the top floor can easily access the bathroom whilst ensuring that the rest of the house’s inhabitants can too.
